You Still Have Until TODAY to File Form 7004!

Have you filed a Form 7004 to extend the amount of time you have to file your business tax return forms yet?

Well, what are you waiting for - the new deadline’s today!

The deadline for Form 7004, which is normally March 15 - the same day your business taxes are due* - was extended last week by the IRS due to Winter Storm Stella.

Since Stella blew through and caused quite a few delays for quite a few people, the IRS decided to extend the March 15, 2017, deadline for the 2016 tax year to March 20, 2017. Which is today! Now, your new, extended deadline date for when your return is due will remain the same, which will be either August 31, September 15, or October 15, 2017, depending on your business and the fiscal year it follows.

If you need somewhere to file Form 7004 really quickly, look no further than our sister product, ExpressExtension. With our simplified interview-style format, completing and e-filing your Form 7004 can be done in less than 10 minutes, and could get you up to seven extra months to file your forms. We’ll even send you an email confirmation when the IRS approves your extension request, something they don’t provide when you paper file.

The same friendly, expert customer support you’re used to with ExpressIRSForms is available to all our ExpressExtension users as well so if you have any questions about Form 7004 or how to e-file, don’t hesitate to give us a call!

*Remember: Form 7004 does not give you more time to pay any taxes due by March 15 for your business's 2016 tax year. If you still owe any taxes, you'll need to remit them to the IRS as soon as possible.
